Rehearsal Audio 3/13/2012

The Music in the playlist below was all recorded prior to any attempt to balance the recording side of the mixer.  Attention was only paid to how it sounded coming out of the speakers.  Aside from the poor playing (on my part, especially), the mix isn’t good.  The recording volume was quite low and these had to be digitally amplified an average of 15 db to get the sound you’ll hear.  This content will be useful for hearing were we messed up, not overall band sound.

They Can't Take That Away From Me - less Lonnie

Sing Sing Sing

Jersey Bounce

I've Got You Under My Skin - less Lonnie

This playlist has music later in the rehearsal.  The mix is much better. The recording volume was still a little low, but the average amplification needed ranged from 4.6 db to 11.9.  It was obvious when the sound board was altered on the recording side.  We have to be careful not to touch the gains after we start and rely on the sliders for the upping the sound re-enforcement volumes.

These recordings seem more balanced and you can hear several of the brass parts.  Check out Bill on No Holds Barred – and he was playing into his stand.  One thing is certain – we needed to tune.

Moondance - less Lonnie
This starts just after the guitar solo after the recording volume was increased.

Beyond The Sea

An American Patrol

No Holds Barred

Leap Frog
