Scott Van Hatten, Bassist

Scott plays bass in various groups and community bands around the Charlotte, NC area performing with the bluegrass group Blue Ridge Xpress and NODA based band, the Littlest Giant.  Scott is also a member of the Queen City Community Orchestra under the direction of Aleo Sica.  Scott has studied various instruments including trumpet, guitar, piano and bass and has attended numerous summer music camps in the Asheville, NC and Maryville, TN areas.  Most recently Scott has been studying bass with Professor Rusty Holloway at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Scott lives in the downtown Charlotte area and hosts weekly practice and jam sessions at his house.  Scott is an avid jazz fan and also spends time in New Orleans attending various parades, music festivals and busking with friends in the French Quarter.
