John Lincourt is a trombonist from Greensboro North Carolina. He went to Western Guilford High School and studied under the direction of Nathan Street. In addition to his duties with the Salisbury Swing Band, John is also the 1st trombonist for Catawba’s wind Ensemble. He is currently a senior at Catawba College, pursuing a degree in music education and music performance. He’s been playing trombone for 11 years in wind ensembles, orchestras, concert bands, and jazz bands has been a member of the Salisbury Swing Band since 2008. John has also taught taught masterclasses and private lessons in Rowan- Cabarrus public high schools and has played in concerts all over North Carolina.
