Carl Haynes, Bass Trombone

Carl Haynes is the Bass Trombone player for the Salisbury Swing Band.  He began playing trombone in the 6^th grade and played all through high school and college.  An alumni of Catawba College (’78), Carl played in the wind ensemble, stage band, pep and brass ensemble.  He also played for the Salisbury Symphony all four years.  His senior year he was principal trombonist.  After a break of 24 years Carl began playing in the Catawba Community Band.  He became the Bass Trombonist for the Swing Band in 2009.  Carl and his wife Kathy have three grown daughters. He is the pastor of Christiana Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
